Our senior league captain Skip Schultz is again running our team that plays on Fridays throughout the Twin Cities. Here is this year's schedule (Updated 5/22).

The Minnesota Public Golf Association conducts numberous events over the course of the season. Our club is participating in the 12 Man East Match Play competition this season. There are many other statewide events that you can get more information at the MPGA Website.

The University of Minnesota Men's Golf Club has conducted tournaments at Les Bolstad Golf Course since 1968. The club holds ~15 Saturday events each year, awarding prizes for nearies, long drive, long putt, gross and net scores based on USGA handicaps.

Here are the benefits of membership:

  • Eligibility to play in MGA tournaments at courses like Wayzata CC, Northland CC, Dellwood CC, and Rochester GCC and member days at courses like Hazeltine NGC and White Bear Yacht Club.

  • 13 Saturday morning golf events at Les with ~4 hr 15 min rounds
  • Opportunity to play in season long four-ball/match play competition
  • 36-hole Sat/Sun Club Championship Event and Friday Night Skills competition with ~$350 prize pool for putting, ~$100+ each for closest to pin/chipping contest
  • Entry fee for each event goes into a prize pool ~$50 for 1st place for regular events, and ~$115 for 1st place for majors. $20,000 available each season
  • Each regular event has ~$100 for gross skins, ~$100 for net skins, ~$25 per nearie
  • Golf Balls for for long drive/long putt and other contests each event

    The club uses Golf Genius for running most of our events. You'll give your scores to the tournament chair after events, but unofficial scoring updates quickly.


    We're into the process of migrating historical records to the new website -- they'll be up this summer.
